Travel Tuesday – 1000 Wanderers & My Asia Travel Itinerary

dreams-1

A magical thing happened this weekend… There are now 1000 beautiful wanderers here on Little Lottie!

It was all the sex talk wasn’t it?!

Whatever brings you to here to follow my journey, I couldn’t be more thankful for your amazing love and support. It’s so great to build a community of people who are so passionate about exploring this beautiful world. That couldn’t have become more apparent to me than the reactions to this post.

The entire reason for Little Lottie was to not only inspire others to chase their dreams, ditch the desk, go for the unknown and overcome fears but also for myself to be able to have like-minded souls around to talk to when I felt lonely on the road or wasn’t confident about a decision I’d made. You all definitely do that for me, I truly feel we’re building friendships here and I hope it carries on growing in all the right ways when I embark on my biggest journey yet!

In less than 3 weeks I will board a plane on a one way ticket and have no idea where my adventures will take me or when I will return. Are you with me?

I’d LOVE you to join me on Instagram too as I will be posting there EVERY DAY on my travels.  Be my friend on Instagram 🙂

I have a rough idea of where I’d like to take you all next year and it goes something like this…

route-map

  1. North Thailand
  2. Laos
  3. Vietnam
  4. Cambodia
  5. Bangkok (for Thai New Year)
  6. The Philippines
  7. Bali (& the rest of Indonesia) but mainly Bali
  8. Singapore
  9. Sri Lanka
  10. India
  11. Myanmar
  12. Taiwan (maybe)

To circle around Asia this way would be a dream and I have no idea if it’s one I can make happen but hell, the ticket is booked and this girl has sold all her belongings so I guess that’s the first step…

If you know anywhere awesome that I should visit let me know in the comments. Have you been to any of these places? Any tips for me?

Big love and Happy Travels. Little Lottie.X

  1. Hi Little Lottie! I hope you visit Cebu City in the Philippines! As it has a lot of islands, thresher and whale shark swimming (btw they are totally harmless) 🙂 and really cheap as well. A travel in a budget experience. Hope to see more of your travels

    1. Cebu is definitely on my list as well as Coron and Palawan. All the islands in the Philippines look incredible and swimming with whale sharks looks so magical! Such majestic animals! Have you done it? I’m very excited to be there. Thank you so much for your comment and reading the post! Happy travels! x

      1. I have totally done it with the Whale Sharks, and if you are into adrenaline try the canyoneering here in Cebu as well! Hope to meet you personally when you arrive! 🙂

    2. WOW, I’m so envious. I’ve heard the canyoneering trips are amazing, often the highlight of people’s visits so I should definitely give this a go, although those huge jumps look a little scary! Yes! Maybe meet you in the beautiful Philippines 🙂

  2. I’ve not explored much of the backpacking trail in SE Asia, but Hong Kong is incredible – so much to do, and although accommodation may be on the pricier side (I stayed with my boyfriend’s family so no idea how much a hostel costs there), the food, transport and attractions are all pretty cheap and the atmosphere is a great fusion of eastern and western culture!

    1. Hi Rosie, thank you SO SO much for your comment. I’m really happy you mentioned Honk Kong as I’ve been to China but never reached this City! Many people have told me to skip it but I’m so happy to hear it’s as amazing and cultured as I suspected. So handy that you have a place to stay there! Such a perfect excuse to return! 🙂 Happy travels x

      1. Definitely worth hitting up Hong Kong – I guess many people will say it’s very westernised etc., but the outlying islands have a lot to offer and there’s more to the city than skyscrapers! Also a convenient place to take a day trip over to Macau – a former Portuguese colony with some stunning architecture (and a heck of a lot of casinos these days!) It really was handy – we were up near the Chinese border, but public transport is so efficient that it didn’t hinder us getting around. Have a great trip!

  3. Wow that’s an incredible plan Lottie! I hope you enjoy your adventure. I am going to the Philippines come Feb, and I am very excited. But since I work full-time it’ll just be a short vacation, so I am quite jealous of you! 😀 I was in Sri Lanka this part Feb – gorgeous country! Amazing and very spicy food, and culturally very similar to where I come from (Nepal).

    1. Thank you! I can’t wait to begin the journey! WOW, that will be incredible. I bet you’re so excited! I’m sure you will see a lot whilst you’re there and means you have an excuse to return one day. Thank you, I really hope to reach Sri Lanka as it looks stunning and must have been nice for you to get a taste of home. Nepal is also on my bucket list 🙂 Thank you for reading, it means a lot x
